Slide ABOUT THE EVENT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LASER FILAMENTATION 11-15 July 2022 Chania, Crete, Greece COFIL 2022 is here! After postponing the COFIL conference for two years, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Conference on Laser Filamentation, COFIL 2022, will be taking place in Chania town, Crete island, Greece, in July 2022. COFIL 2022 is the 8th of a very successful series of biennial conferences bringing together scientists working in the field of ultrashort and intense laser filamentation and its applications. The conference also attracts scientists from other fields interested in discussing the present status and future perspectives of this topic.

The 2022 meeting aims to enhance awareness of current research activities and recent developments, draw attendance from leading professionals from all over the world and bring together a large representative of top-level scientists and researchers of this domain. It is an opportunity for the whole community to meet, create new collaborations, share technical information and built trustworthy relationships internationally.

COFIL 2022 will be held in a hybrid format, with both a strong in-person component as well as the option for online participation. Although the COVID-19 pandemic is still present, given the very positive travel experience during the last two summers in Greece, we look forward to the successful organization of our conference with physical presence while respecting all safety protocols.

The in-person conference will take place in the Grand Arsenal, the Mediterranean Architecture Centre, located in the old Venetian harbor of Chania, literally a few steps from the heart of the city center.

We invite you to be part of this experience, while it is our devotion to assure that COFIL 2022 will be an exciting, creative, enjoyable, and safe event.
